The First-Generation Scholars Society—also known as UCA’s F1RSTS—is UCA’s recognized student organization created to support, connect, and celebrate first-generation college students. Whether you’re looking to make friends, develop leadership skills, serve the community, or simply find people who understand your journey, FGSS is a place where you belong.
As a member, you’ll become part of a supportive network of students who are committed to helping first-generation students succeed. Throughout the year, FGSS hosts social events, professional development workshops, service projects, networking opportunities, and programs that help students build confidence, connect with campus resources, and prepare for life after graduation.
