- Immediate concern for students, faculty or staff (imminent suicidal action or active threats of harm to self or others and/or highly erratic or bizarre behavior)
- Medical emergency
- Welfare check
- Classroom disruption where you are unable to gain control of student/situation
- References to suicide or statements of hopelessness
- Food insecurity or financial concern
- Extreme homesickness or inability to adapt to campus life
- Illness (physical or emotional) or injury that causes prolonged absences
- Non imminent emotional health concern (hearing voices, depression, lack of self care)
- Appearing under the influence (non-disruptive)
- Death of a family member
313-°Õ´¡³¢°±«°ä´¡ÌýANONYMOUS REPORTING
313-TALKBTÌìÌÃis an anonymous reporting mechanism for any student concerns. The reporters name and phone number will not be revealed. It can be used with mobile devices that have texting capabilities by texting 313-TALKBTÌìÌÃor by scanning the QR code below. Once a report is submitted, the reporter will be guided through the process by a Dean of Students staff member. Types of anonymous reports may include; hazing, uncharacteristic or extreme aggression towards others, suicide ideation, or major life events (family deaths, change in financial status, or loss of a relationship). If you are not sure if your submission qualifies for 313-TALKBTÌìÌÃ(313-825-5822), submit your report anyway. The Dean of Students Office will make a determination about next steps for your report.
