Alicia S.聽Landry聽PhD, RD, LD, SNS is a聽Registered Dietitian and Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Nutrition and Family Sciences at UCA. Alicia聽received a BS in Nutrition from UCA, a MS in Nutrition from Louisiana Tech, and a PhD in Nutrition and Food Systems from The University of Southern Mississippi. Alicia has earned the School Nutrition Specialist designation from the School聽Nutrition聽Association.聽Her research has included community-based participatory interventions to reduce chronic disease risk in health disparate populations as well as research with child nutrition programs, including farm to school and community gardens. Previous and current work focuses on the importance of preventive care and overall well-being to optimize the quality and quantity of individuals’ lives. Dr.聽Landry聽primarily teaches nutrition management, food science, and research classes at both the Undergraduate and Graduate levels. She is the Chair of the College Section Research Committee for the School Nutrition Association and is a member of the聽Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, School Nutrition Association, and American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. Alicia enjoys spending time outside and continuously learning new things.
