BTÌìÌÃwill host “Gospel Explosion” on Thursday, April 16, at 7 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall on the BTÌìÌÃcampus.
Eight gospel choirs and the BTÌìÌÃEbony Models will take part in the event, which is sponsored by the BTÌìÌÃFinancial Aid Office as a tribute and memorial scholarship fund-raising event in honor of the late longtime BTÌìÌÃemployee, Fay Dunevant. The goal of the Financial Aid Office is to endow the scholarship.
Dunevant was employed at BTÌìÌÃfrom May 1979 until her death in July 1999. She left behind two daughters, an extended family, and many friends and co-workers. The majority of her years of service at BTÌìÌÃwere with the Financial Aid Office.Dr. Lloyd Hervey, music minister at Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, will serve as emcee for the event, which will feature:

Dunevant was a member of Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church and mass choir.
Gospel Explosion is a free event and no tickets will be issued. However, a voluntary donation offering will be taken to fund the Fay Dunevant Memorial Scholarship. The permanent memorial fund will reside in the BTÌìÌÃFoundation. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.
