PSYCHOLOGY SOCIETY WINS REGIONAL AWARD

University of Central Arkansas students were recognized with the 2017 Alberta Johnson/Ruth Hubbard Cousins Building Bonds Collaboration Award during the Southwestern Psychological Association annual conference.

Members of the BTchapter of Psi Chi, an international honor society in psychology, worked with the Psi Chi chapters at Texas Women’s University and Collin College to create a collaborative workshop titled, “The Gritty Team: Passion, Purpose and Success.”

The award is given to students who work together with different Psi Chi chapters. BTgraduate student Kelli Wierzbicki assisted in the organizing and presenting the workshop. Each chapter was recognized with a plaque and a $100 award.

In addition to being recognized with this award, the BTchapter of Psi Chi was recognized as a Model Chapter for the 10th consecutive year.
