THE GREAT GATSBY TO VISIT REYNOLDS FEB. 24

CONWAY â Montana Repertory Theatreâs production of The Great Gatsby will visit the University of Central Arkansasâs Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
The 7:30 p.m. production is sponsored by the Log Cabin Democrat.
The Great Gatsby is part of BTĚěĚĂPublic Appearancesâ Broadway series. One of the great cautionary tales about the American Dream, the F. Scott Fitzgerald book tells the story of Jay Gatsby whose seemingly perfect life of lavish parties and privilege hides a darker world of obsession. His quest to win back his first love threatens to shatter many lives and change more than one American dream.
âThis classic literary tale will be brought to life by the talented actors, detailed sets and extravagant costumes,â said Amanda Horton, director of BTĚěĚĂPublic Appearances. âMontana Repertory Theatre has a long history of bringing to the stage stories that touch the spirit and captivate the audience.â
Audience members will experience the glitz and glamour of the Jazz Age and one of the most unforgettable stories of the 20th century. According to press materials, âItâs all here: the beautiful people, the decadence, the idealism â and the darkest fate.â
