The Arkansas Chapter of the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) awarded its Carol Glenn Scholarship this fall to a University of Central Arkansas student for the first time. Previously, the scholarship was available only to students at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Recipients of the scholarship are graduate students pursuing a master of science degree in training systems at UCA.
The $1,000 scholarship was awarded to Blytheville native Crystal Floyd, a BTÌìÌÃgraduate student. Floyd is working on a master?s degree in the training systems from the BTÌìÌÃDepartment of Middle/Secondary Education and Instructional Technologies.
Carol Glenn was an outstanding member of ASTD and the local Arkansas Chapter continues to honor her by offering a scholarship in her name and encouraging students to achieve scholastic goals while pursuing a professional career within the field of human resource development.
