Staff Senate is accepting applications for Professional Development funding for Quarter III of the 2026–2027 fiscal year. This funding is for professional development opportunities occurring between January 1 and March 31, 2027.
UCA’s Staff Senate Professional Development Fund was established to assist staff employees in pursuing opportunities for professional development. These funds can be used by a staff member seeking support for:
• Conference Travel: Registration fees, airfare/mileage, and lodging associated with professional conferences.
• Certifications & Licensure: Fees for obtaining or renewing professional certifications or additional licensures relevant to the applicant’s role.
• Continuing Education: Workshops, seminars, or specialized training courses.
• Webinars/Virtual Learning: Registration for online professional development opportunities.
Full-time staff who have been employed for at least six months are eligible to apply. The maximum award amount per quarter is $2,000 per applicant. The final value of each award depends on available funding and the number of applicants.
Please note that these funds are awarded as reimbursements to your departmental budget. Funds will be awarded after your professional development opportunity has occurred to ensure that awarded funds are applied only to eligible and documented expenses.
The deadline to apply for Quarter III funding is November 20, 2026.
