Sunday, October 4 @ 5:00 pm in Windgate Concert Hall
Join the BTÌìÌÃWind Ensemble on October 4, 2026, for “Finding Our Voice,” a performance that traces the evolution of the wind band from its European roots to the ecstatic heart of the American spirit. The program travels from the grand traditions of British operetta and a Revolutionary War anthem, through George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, ultimately arriving at the soulful joy of the Black church and New Orleans jazz. The ensemble is thrilled to be joined by Artist-In-Residence Doreen Ketchens—the renowned “Clarinet Queen of New Orleans”—whose legendary abilities will blow the roof off of Windgate!
