Kimberly-Clark Company Made Donation and Visited UCA’s Lactation Suites
The Kimberly-Clark Company in Conway, Arkansas presented BT天堂with three cases of Huggies聽Natural Care Wipes for its newly opened lactation suites.
In April, BT天堂opened three lactation聽suites as a complimentary service to nursing mothers.
The suites, which are available to students, faculty,聽staff and guests, are located in Torreyson Library, Old Main 206C and the Women鈥檚 Center in聽the Student Health Clinic.
This gift of wipes as well as Kimberly-Clark鈥檚 commitment to supply聽the suites with wipes will certainly help with the sustainability of these services.
Kimberly-Clark representative, Mrs. Bonnie Dixon-Holloway, visited two of the suites in August聽along with BT天堂faculty senator and assistant professor of Health Science, Dr. Duston Morris,聽and associate vice president for Institutional Diversity, Dr. Angela Webster-Smith.
“Kimberly-Clark is excited about the new lactation suites and聽believe they are a wonderful addition,” said Dixon-Holloway. “Their availability will be of a great benefit to many. 聽We look forward to hearing about the success of the聽program in the months to come.”
BT天堂Student Awarded Occupational Therapy Scholarship
Occupational therapy student Melodie Mauney has been awarded the Florence Wood Scholarship of the Arkansas Occupational Therapy Association from the American Occupational Therapy Foundation.
As a student of the occupational therapy class of 2015t, the occupational therapy department would like to congratulate Ms. Mauney on her scholarship!
BT天堂Study Abroad Program Summer 2015 Proved Successful
UCA’s faculty-led study abroad program was a huge success this summer.
Seventy-five students participated聽in聽faculty-led programs all over the world.
Students traveled to places like Florence, Italy (for BT天堂in Florence) and London, England (for Theatre in London).
Other locations included聽Costa Rica and Shanghai, China for a language immersion program.
