The Division of Advancement staff at the University of Central Arkansas has expanded with the hiring of two key individuals this year.

Vice President for Institutional Advancement Dr. T. Kale Gober joined BTÌìÌÃin May 2016 after serving as the assistant athletic director for Development at the University of Arkansas. In this new role, Gober will use his leadership skills to increase fundraising for development and alumni relations.

Gober was previously the athletic director at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, he served as development associate and assistant to the athletics director at UCA. He holds a Bachelor of Science in education from Henderson State University, a Master of Science in instructional technology from BTÌìÌÃand a Doctor of Education in athletic administration from Northcentral University in Arizona.

“As the vice president for Institutional Advancement, I am excited to lead a team that shares the remarkable stories of BTÌìÌÃwith our constituents, and I have no doubt that in partnership with the incredible faculty and students, we will have unprecedented success engaging our alumni and raising support for UCA,” Gober said.

Joycelin Randle was hired on August 1,2016 as the executive director of Development. As executive director of Development, Randle will coordinate all development programs such as major gift, annual giving and planned giving programs. She will also serve as principal gifts officer for the University’s top prospects while working collaboratively with college development and advancement officers.

“I am excited I joined the Advancement team, and I look forward to working with the BTÌìÌÃcommunity to advance the mission and goals of the University,” said Randle.

Katherine Ann Hoy ’62 was elected to the BTÌìÌÃAlumni Association Board of Directors. After 43 years of teaching, she retired in 2013 and now serves as a volunteer teacher at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Byron Hatch
Byron Hatch ’98
Byron Hatch ’98 was elected to the Board of Directors for the BTÌìÌÃAlumni Association. He currently serves as the assistant commissioner of championships of the Southeastern Conference.

Rickela Mayo
Rickela Mayo ’03
Rickela Mayo ’03 was elected to the BTÌìÌÃAlumni Association Board of Directors. Having more than 10 years of human resources and recruiting experience, Mayo is currently an entrepreneur and owner of Tutor Doctor Central, an international in-home tutoring company in the Dallas area.

Brittany Hodak ’05 was elected to the Board of Directors for the BTÌìÌÃAlumni Association. Hodak co-founded ZinePak and Per Diems Against Poverty and writes regularly for Forbes and The Huffington Post.

Aaron Knight

Aaron Knight ’11 was elected to the BTÌìÌÃAlumni Association Board of Directors. As the deputy mayor for Policy and Affairs in Conway, he serves as policy advisor to the mayor and oversees public affairs and strategic initiatives.

Tyler Rodgers
Tyler Rodgers ’14
Tyler Rodgers ’14 was elected to the Board of Directors for the BTÌìÌÃAlumni Association. Rodgers is an employee benefits consultant at Regions Insurance in Little Rock.

Night of Distinction 2016 /magazine/night-of-distinction-2016/ Tue, 27 Sep 2016 20:07:35 +0000 /magazine/?p=3262 The University of Central Arkansas hosted the sixth annual Night of Distinction Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion in Little Rock. Night of Distinction is the awards gala honoring past and present recipients of the Distinguished Alumni Award and the Alumni Service Award. Proceeds from the event benefit student scholarships. This year, the 2016 Distinguished Alumni Award winners were Dr. Linda Beene ’72 and James Neihouse, and the Alumni Service Award winner was Pat Cantrell Otto ’66.
